HBL PSL 2022: Schedule, tickets, draft date, time & venues

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 and its draft date. The HBL PSL 2022 will start with an exciting encounter between defending champions Multan Sultans and PSL 2020 champions Karachi Kings on Thursday, January 27th.

 Quetta Gladiators will take on the Peshawar Zalmi in the second match of the event the following day. Lahore Qalandars will start its campaign against Multan Sultan. While, Islamabad United will play their first match against Peshawar Zalmi.

All the single headers matches of the PSL 7 will start at 7 PM. While, the double headers will kick off at 2 PM and 7 PM. The Friday’s double-headers will start at 3 PM and 8 PM.

PSL 2022 Draft date:

December 12 has been picked as the PSL 7 draft date. It will be held at the National High Performance Centre in Lahore.

PCB in a press release said: “Each side will come to the draft with a maximum of eight-player retentions from the last event,” it further stated. “Following the finalisation of player categories, the transfer and retention window is now officially open and will close on December 10.”

The first pick in the Platinum category, Diamond category, Gold category and Emerging category belongs to the Lahore Qalandars. The first pick in the Silver category and Supplementary category belongs to Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators respectively.

Pakistan Super League 2022 venues

Karachi and Lahore have been chosen as the venues of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League. Karachi will host the first 15 matches while, Lahore will be hosting the rest of the 19 matches. It will be the first time since 2017 that Lahore will be hosting the final of the mega event.

PSL 2022 Tickets

Tickets for the upcoming edition of Pakistan Super League will go on sale just a few weeks before the start of the tournament. If the Covid-19 situation doesn’t get bad, a maximum capacity crowd will be allowed. We will be updating the information about the tickets once PCB announces the details.
