The Higher Education Commission has signed an MoU with the Queen Mary University of London for 75 scholars to join its Ph.D. programs in the next five years.
The British Council (Pakistan) organized the signing ceremony held online. The Executive Director of HEC, Dr. Shaista Sohail, and the Vice-Principal International Education (QMUL), Professor Colin Grant, signed the agreement.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Shaista praised the QMUL’s support for Pakistani scholars and expressed her hope that the bilateral cooperation between the two organizations would facilitate an ideal ecosystem for human development.
She added, “There is no medium better than education to improve perceptions about each other.”
The Executive Director commented that Pakistani scholars are fortunate to have the opportunity to study at the prestigious institution of QMUL. She also appreciated its administration for offering massive fee waivers to the scholars selected by the HEC.
