Criteria, application process, documents needed for HEC Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2020

The students who have a family income of less than Rs. 45,000 per month can apply for the scholarship.

On Tuesday, the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) announced the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program. The program deals with 125 public sector universities across the country.

Under the program, 50,000 deserving students are awarded scholarships every year which is based on their family income. According to officials, the budget allocated for this scheme is Rs. 24 billion. The HEC officials stated:

For the session 2019-20, 50,762 students were awarded scholarships worth Rs. 4.82 billion. This year, 200,000 students will benefit from the four-year program. The students can apply for the scholarship on the online portal.

Amount of scholarship: 100% tuition fee + Rs4,000 stipend

Who can apply?

How can you apply?

Visit the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program portal and follow the simple steps below to sign up and apply for the scholarship:

Step 1: On the first page, fill out the personal details section by entering your name, date of birth, father\’s name, address, domicile, etc.

Step 2: On the second page, provide your credentials — school, college, and university\’s name along with grades.

Step 3: On the third page, enter your parents\’ details, including the source of income, etc. along with minor details of the entire family.

Step 4: On the fourth page, fill out your family\’s source of income and estimated monthly expenses — electricity and water bills, kitchen expenses, etc.

Step 5: On the fifth page, provide the details of the assets that your family owns, if any.

Step 6: On the sixth page, you will have to disclose how your university fee was paid, and were you ever awarded a scholarship or not.

Step 7: A window will pop up. Click yes to submit the form and complete the application process.

Note: You will have to submit the hard copy of the application form and the supporting documents to the Student Financial Aid Office of the university only.
