HED Punjab looking for 300 interns to face teachers’ shortage

The Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) is going to employ 300 interns to meet the lack of teachers, As per a report from The News.

The report said that the provincial education department is facing a shortage of teachers, for which it will appoint 300 College Teaching Interns (CTIs).

The following are the details from the plan:

  • Persons of any age can apply
  • A monthly stipend of Rs. 45,000 will be given to the interns
  • Only  a minimum of Ma/MSc (2nd division) qualified persons can apply
  • Tentative merit lists will be announced on 17, whereas the final merit list will come out on 20 January

Vacancies for both male and female interns were listed on Wednesday, while applicants could submit their documents between the 14th and 15th of January.

With the final merit list appearing on the 20th of January interviews will commence from the 23rd of January. Successful applicants’ names will be displayed in colleges on the 25th of January.

Lastly, the grievance redress mechanism will have taken place by the 29th of February.
