Here is how flood victims can apply for BISP Flood Relief Cash Assistance

Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is providing financial aid of Rs25,000 under the Flood Relief Cash Assistance to flood-affected families. This is valid for every flood affectee from areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan.

So far, more than Rs4,784,057,630 has been disbursed among 190,326 families as a part of the program.  Special payment centers have also been set up in flood-affected areas, with 170 campsites in Sindh, 23 in Punjab, 84 in KP, and 97 in Balochistan.

Under the orders of the Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Shazia Marri, the payment centers are to be kept open on Saturday to facilitate victims. The administration of BISP has also directed the concerned staff, who is present at campsites, to cooperate and facilitate people in their regions.

How flood victims can apply for BISP Flood Relief Cash Assistance

In order to benefit from BISP’s program, affected families have to simply send their CNIC number to 8171. This will register them in the Flood Relief Cash Assistance program, and upon receiving the payment messages, they can visit their campsite to receive their payment.

A Control Room has also been set up at BISP headquarters to ensure smooth payments. People can visit BISP headquarters or contact 051-9246312 from 8 am to 7 pm for assistance.
