As individuals continue in their pursuit to provide relief to those impacted by floods, the Punjab government has launched the Chief Minister (CM) Flood Relief Fund.
Under this fund, those who are impacted by the flood in the province will be provided financial relief. CM Punjab Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi announce the formation, and also invited wealthy individuals and philanthropists to donate to the flood victims in the province.
So far, Dera Ghazi Khan (DG Khan), Rajanpur, and Tonsa have been impacted by floods in Punjab. People have been displaced, and their property and crops have also been destroyed.
Following CM Punjab’s visit to the affected areas, he declared an emergency and proclaimed the impacted districts as calamity-hit. He also assured people that the government is with them and ordered authorities to begin rescue and relief operations in the area.

Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund
The Pakistani government has also notified about a relief fund established by them. This will provide help to the impacted population in parts of the country.
The fund will be administered by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). All commercial and microfinance banks are to open the account of the fund and can donate through cheques, cash, pay orders, and draft demands at every branch across the country.

Donate through phone balance
You can also donate to the PM Relief Account by sending Rs10 through SMS on 9999. PTA introduced this to facilitate the donation process.
Mobile users can donate by typing ‘fund’ in the SMS option and send it to 9999.
