Here is how you can complaint to PTA if your internet speed is less than 4Mbps

You can now lodge a complaint to PTA if your internet speed is less than 4 Mbps. Following the revised rules of broadband internet by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, internet speeds may improve for many people.

The telecom regulator has set a minimum broadband speed for customers, which the companies must provide regardless of the circumstances. PTA also took part in the Consumer Conference this year and talked about internet speeds in Pakistan, among other things.

PTA sets minimum broadband speed

According to the telecommunication authority, the minimum broadband internet speed in Pakistan should be up to 4 Mbps, which is 256 kbps. PTA has also stressed that customers should at least receive 80% of the advertised internet speeds. This implies that if you have a 10 Mbps connection, you should receive a speed of 8 Mbps at all times.

If you are not receiving the said internet speed, then you can complain to the PTA about it. This step by the authority should improve the internet speeds in multiple regions across the country. So, if your ISP (Internet Service Provider) calls itself a ‘broadband’ internet provider, you can complain to the PTA about their speed.

This will also help those people who are getting less than the desired and advertised internet speed and will also be useful for PTCL customers.

How to complaint to PTA

If your ISP is providing less than 80% of the advertised internet speed, you can simply register a complaint to PTA by heading over to their website. From there, you need to go to ‘Customer Complaints,’ and then fill out your complaint form online.

You may have to add your personal details in the form, along with specifying the type of complaint you have to lodge. If you aren’t willing to file an online complaint, simply call their support center at 0800-55055, which is open 7 days a week from 9 am to 9 pm.
