Here’s why international cricketers are pulling out of PSL 2022

Here's the reason.

As the end of Pakistan Super League (PSL) draws closer, two international cricketers have pulled out of the tournament. Both Alex Hales and Ben Duckett withdrew from the remainder of the tournament due to personal reasons.

According to a report by Cricket Pakistan, the foreign stars participating in the tournament are unhappy with the strict bio-bubble of the HBL PSL 7. It was precisely the reason why Hales and Duckett decided not continue any further.

Now, some other players have also raised concerns over the strict bio-bubble. The players want facilities in an open-air environment outside the hotel to ease their minds.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had booked an entire hotel in Karachi. However, in Lahore, just a separate wing has been booked making it difficult for the players to move around freely.

“Foreign cricketers cannot spend their free time playing ludo or carom, they want to visit outdoor places, many big names did not come to Pakistan because of the hard bio bubble,” Cricket Pakistan quoted a source.

The PSL 7 is progressing smoothly so far without any threat of the Covid-19 unlike the previous two editions which were postponed.

  • If there would be less restrictions the cases will soar putting the league at risk. In the current environment players have to acknowledge the quarantine requirements
