Here’s Why Wahab Riaz And Jason Roy Indulged In A Verbal Fight
Peshawar Zalmi’s fast bowler, Wahab Riaz, and Quetta Gladiators’, Jason Roy, got into a heated argument at the end of Quetta’s innings in Karachi.
According to reports, Jason Roy had accused the fast bowler of tampering with the ball to help him get a reverse swing. After the accusation, Wahab Riaz angrily approached towards him and the Gladiators’ skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed, but Sir Vivian Richards was there to intervene and diffuse the tension.
During a press conference following the match, Sarfaraz Ahmed also confirmed that his team had reported the tampering matter to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Earlier, during the teams’ captains and coaches meeting with the match officials, before the start of the PSL, Immad Wasim had also named Wahab Riaz among the three players to have tampered with the ball in the previous season of The PSL. The other two players that Immad Wasim named were Ravi Bopara and Sohail Khan.
