‘Hi-tech police stations’ to be set up in Islamabad following Hong Kong’s model

Yesterday, the federal minister had also announced to make ten Hi-tech police stations in the federal capital in collaboration with Islamabad police.

A few months ago, Fawad Chaudhry suggested that Punjab police should follow the model of the Hong Kong Police. His suggestion came in response to Punjab police putting a ban on the usage of mobile phones for on-duty officers.

The federal minister for Science and Technology had advised making video cameras a part of the uniform of police, just as it is in Hong Kong.

Now, Islamabad and Motorway Police have agreed to the suggestion of Fawad Chaudhry. In a tweet today, the federal minister announced that both Islamabad and motorway police are willing to collaborate and follow the model of Hong Kong police.

Yesterday, the federal minister had also announced to make ten Hi-tech police stations in the federal capital in collaboration with Islamabad police.
