In a heart warming gesture, nurse and laborer inaugurate new ward at Quetta hospital
The Commissioner Quetta Division, Asfandyar Khan,was also present during the ceremony.
Quetta- The Fatima Jinnah Chest & General Hospital established a new 64-bed ward last month. To recognize their services, the hospital management invited its staff, including laborers, nurses, and paramedics, to inaugurate the new facility.
The Commissioner Quetta Division, Asfandyar Khan, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Noorullah Musakhail, and the Head of the Department, Dr. Shiren Khan, were also present during the ceremony.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the commissioner said, “Health professionals including doctors, nurses, paramedics, drivers, sweepers, have put their lives at peril to fight COVID-19 from the frontlines. We appreciate and recognize their services and sacrifices.”
He added, “The FJ hospital staff has been battling the deadly virus from the beginning. Our top priority is to improve health facilities and provide standard services to people in difficult times.”
Mr. Khan also assured the hospital staff and all health professionals that their issues would be addressed on a priority basis.
