PM Khan was on his two-day official visit to China where he met with the number of dignitaries from China including President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keiqiang and Li Zhanshu the Chairman of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. The chief executive Khan was also given a guard of honor, Geo News reported, on his departure from Beijing.

Khan discussed the matters of bilateral concerns with the Chinese’ leadership and the two allied nations also concluded a number of agreements and agreed on strengthening the socio-economic ties. Pakistani premier also trapped the attention of Chinese media where the reports of his meeting with the Premier Li Keiqiang appeared on the front-page in the leading newspapers of China.

The premier’s meeting with the Chinese President and his Chinese’ counterpart has been in the headlines in People’s Daily China, Global Times, and other Chinese language television channels as well.

The China Economic Net noted Li saying that the Chinese leadership has always seen Pakistan as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy and would support its efforts to further push the national prosperity and rejuvenation.

Mr. Li also reiterated China’s firm support for Pakistan in its efforts to safeguard the sovereignty, national independence, territorial integrity, and legitimate interests in a meeting with the Pakistani premier Imran Khan. The two nations are all-weather partners and their friendship is built on strong foundations, Li added.
