How ‘Double Shah’ Robbed his UET colleagues and students off millions under a fake investment scheme

The Executive Engineer (XEN) at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore managed to defraud his colleagues and students of millions of rupees.

Just like ‘Double Shah’, a scam artist in Pakistan, who gained notoriety by starting and managing a Ponzi scheme, the UET employee also accumulated massive investments from 17 colleagues and students on the pretext of providing them a handsome profit on their investment.

The victims of the fake investment scheme lodged a complaint against the XEN with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), stating:

Vice-Chancellor Mansoor Sarwar failed to take timely action against the XEN which allowed him to flee.

Following the complaints, the FIA lodged an investigation into the matter. The FIA Director said:

The investigation into the case is underway and the accused will be apprehended soon.

According to details, the police questioned the XEN; however, the suspect is still at large.
