Cyber harassment in Pakistan, and the world in general, is a big issue. It tends to be unreported due to its sensitive nature, victim concern, or lack of information as to how to report it.
Here are five ways on how to report harassment in Pakistan:
- Register a complaint via the FIA
- Lodge a report through IC3
- Citizens-Police Liaison Committee complaint cell
- Snapshot on Snapchat
- Madadgar National Helpline
Register a complaint via FIA
Write down your application in your preferred language (English or Urdu). Explain your problem, provide as many pieces of evidence as you can, and send it to the Federal Investigation Agency National Response Center for Cyber Crimes(NR3C). You can submit your Cyber Crime complaint to helpdesk@nr3c.gov.pk.
Lodge a report through IC3
If you are looking for how to report harassment in Pakistan, The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) receives online complaints from either the victim or from a third party to the complainant. Visit their website to see how to report.
Citizens-Police Liaison Committee complaint cell
The Citizens-Police Liaison Committee has established a women complaint cell intended to deal with women’s harassment matters across Pakistan. You can make a complaint using these numbers: 021-35682222, 021-35662222.
Snapshot on Snapchat
