Just when things started to get better for The Lahore Qalandars, they have been dealt a huge blow just ahead of their semi-final clash against Karachi Kings.

Hours after scoring his first hundred at the Pakistan Super League, Lahore Qalandars’ star batsman, Chris Lynn, has decided to fly back home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In a late-night Instagram post, the Australian cricketer announced that he would not be a further part of The PSL this season.

“Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the @thepsl unfortunately in these circumstances I’ve chosen to head home, I’ve always said there is more to life than cricket and this is certainly one of these cases,” Lynn posted on Instagram. “I have full faith in the @lahoreqalandars to go all the way but more importantly have fun lads! Thank you to everyone involved, Pakistan you have been a blast.,” Chris Lynn wrote.

Despite the coronavirus fears, Lahore Qalandars foreign players decided to stay in Pakistan. Last week, a number of foreign players had decided not to be a part of The PSL any further.

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic and the banning of crowds. The semi-finals of the PSL will be played tomorrow at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore to an empty stadium.
