[VIDEO] Humayun Saeed shares his personal thoughts on infamous dialogue ‘2 takkay ki aurat’
Humayun expressed his thoughts in Waseem Badami's show 'Har Lamha Purjoosh'.
Writer and director Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s Meray Paas Tum Ho (MPTH) became a national obsession, primarily after the infamous dialogue ‘2 takkay ki aurat’. The story revolves around a cheating wife who leaves her husband for a rich man.
The man, however, later abandoned her and she spends her life regretting her decision. The drama serial stars Ayeza Khan, Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui. The drama became hot topic of the down after the dialogue ”Do Takay Ki Aurat Ka Liya Tum Na Mjhay 50 Million Offer Kiya Tha.”
In his recent interview on Waseem Badami’s show ‘Har Lamha Purjoosh’, Badami asked him about his personal views about the dialogue. He asked if Humayun personally feels if the theme of the drama was misogynist and the said dialogue was offensive towards the women overall.
Humayun instantly said ”NO”, adding that the phrase ‘Do Takay’ is regularly used by people in their everyday vocabulary and it only gained popularity because of the situation in which it was delivered.
