‘Hunarmand Pakistan Program’ will train 170,000 youth. Here’s how you can be a part of it

Equipment worth Rs.600 million is being imported from China for NAVTTC smart classrooms.

Executive Director NAVTTC Dr. Nasir Khan has announced that the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission will train 170,000 individuals under the Prime Minister’s Hunarmand Pakistan program. The aim of this ambitious program is the socio-economic development of the youth.

Dr. Nasir, in an interview, said that the main goal of this programme is to improve skills and knowledge of internees working in public and private sectors. The training will be offered by private and development sector firms, federal, provincial and local government institutions.

He said that the courses will include three to six months of training and people of any educational level can be a part of the programme. The course will begin at 558 different centers across Pakistan. Skill development training will be given in fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computing, traditional programs, and Information Technology.

Dr. Nasir said that these courses started on the 9th of January 2020, after the launch of the Hunarmand Pakistan programme. The course is free of cost and the admissions will continue till the 24th of January.

Equipment being imported from China:

Equipment worth Rs.600 million is being imported from China for NAVTTC smart classrooms. With China’s help, Centers of Excellence will be set up across Pakistan. Technical training teachers will be trained by Chinese trainers. Other than this, NAVTTC is also going to start numerous degree programs with Germany, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

There is a 30% quota for females, while more female candidates can join NAVTTC on merit. Around 600,000 trained youth are in the database of NAVTTC. This data will be given to the related ministries and departments for employment in Pakistan and abroad.

  • Fill the ‘form’ and click on the Save button.

Steps to Apply Offline:

  • Download Application Form with the help of this ‘link’
  • Fill the form and take a printout
  • Attach your latest passport size picture along with academic certificates
  • Submit the hard copy of the form to the institute.

Duration and Cost:

The duration of the courses is 3-6 months. All the courses are free of cost.
