Body covered with white cloth

According to media reports, a woman in Sialkot allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan. All of this was the consequence of a prank her husband played on her.

Details of the Incident

Pakistani expatriate Ramzan tied the knot with Fauzia around seven years ago. While the wife lived in Pakistan, the husband lived in UAE.

Ramzan decided to prank his wife one day by saying that he had married a middle-eastern woman in Dubai. The man intended to tease his wife for a while; however, things quickly escalated for the worse.

Following the shocking revelation, Fauzia sent Ramzan several video messages, but to keep up the prank facade, the husband remained unresponsive. Unfortunately, the wife didn’t think twice and allegedly committed suicide, as she ‘didn’t want to share him with anyone’.

Twist in the Story

Although Fauzia’s death was ruled as suicide, her family registered an FIR against Ramzan’s family. They claimed that Fauzia’s in-laws had tortured her to death.

Law enforcers are currently investigating the matter from all angles. For now, it’s unclear whether the deceased wife committed suicide or was subjected to torture by her in-laws. Only time will unveil the truth behind Fauzia’s death.
