She even considered stepping back from acting due to online harassment.
A viewer bashed Sakina Samo for her character in Dobara. He called her a ‘cheap phupho,’ who does not deserve to live. Responding to this, Samo asked why actors have to put up with this.

Drama Serial Dobara
The drama series kicks off after the death of Mehrunissa’s husband, Hidayatullah (played by Nouman Ijaz). After his demise, Mehru (Hadiqa Kiyani) feels like a free spirit and recalls the bitter memories of her past. Eventually, she meets Mahir (Bilal Abbas) and marries him – who is much younger than she is.
Before this, the drama was criticized for mishandling the sensitive topic of harassment. In an episode, Mehru’s daughter-in-law accuses Mahir of harassing her. This was done because the family is against Mahir and Mehrunissa’s marriage.
People questioned if such a triggering scene was necessary, as viewers were not expecting such irresponsibility from a drama serial like Dobara, which was here to break stereotypes.
