PMIK Lends Support For Shaikh Hamza Yusuf’s Zaytuna College, Eager To Collaborate

Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his support for Zaytuna College, a renowned Muslim college in the United States.

The premier is also eager to collaborate with the college in future educational projects in Pakistan.

The college seeks to incorporate the importance of the liberal arts and humanities into a traditional Islamic education curriculum.

In a special message to the college’s administration, Prime Minister Imran Khan manifested his support for the college and urged other people to do the same.

“I would like all of you to support Shaykh Hamza’s Zaytuna College because I believe it is imperative that we Muslims must support knowledge centers,” the premier said.

The prime minister also said that he looked forward to a collaboration between Zaytuna College and the Al-Qadir University in Pakistan.

In response to the prime minister’s message, Hamza Yusuf, the co-founder of Zaytuna College, thanked the premier for his “very kind” remarks.

“May Allah preserve all those people in the government that are working for the good of Pakistan.”

The scholar also said he was hopeful for Zaytuna College and Al-Qadir University’s potential collaboration in the future.

Al-Qadir University:

The Al-Qadir University is currently under construction in Sohawa, Jhelum District, Punjab.

The university is named after the renowned Sufi mystic and jurist, Abdul Qadir Gilani.

The university’s foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Imran Khan last year.

“I had been thinking about creating this university for the past 23 years,” the premier said during the university’s groundbreaking ceremony.

According to the prime minister, the university aims to link science and spirituality.
