In a bid to promote tourism in the province, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has opened a new tourist spot in Galiyat. Needless to say, the promotion of tourism in Pakistan has been one of the top priorities of the incumbent government.
Samundar Katha Lake, near Barra Gali, is now welcoming tourists. This stunning lake has been designed and created artificially amidst in the middle of the mountains to enable tourists to enjoy speed boats, zip-lining, and horse riding.
“We have created a new tourist destination so that visitors coming to Goliath can enjoy it, however, we are trying to further improve it,” said Galiyat Development Authority’s spokesperson Ahsan Hameed.

A large number of tourists from all over the country have started visiting the newly-built inaugurated tourist spot. Prime Minister Imran Khan announced opening doors of Governor House Nathiagali for the use of the general public.
The eight-room historical building, that was constructed in 1923, spreads over 76 kanals. It further lies 7,922 feet above sea level. Previously, Prime Minister Imran Khan also announced to open all government houses for the public. Bookings have also started in the rest houses.
The move will not only contribute towards the maintenance of these historic buildings but will also be providing revenue to the government.
‘KP Tourism’ recently launched to guide tourists:
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has launched a dedicated mobile application and web portal. Senior provincial minister Atif Khan launched the application on Wednesday.
The website and app will help to promote tourism in the province and also attract foreign tourists as it will be a one-stop for information and guidance. All the information related to hotels, tour operators, tracking, restaurants bookings, tourist resorts, lakes, and weather will be available on the said platforms.
It means that the visitors, particularly the foreign tourists who are unfamiliar with the local language, will have an advanced, easy and hassle-free experience.
