In the past, Turkey and India used to be traditional allies but Turkey supporting Pakistan has changed it all.

A week ago, Turkey supported Pakistan at the Financial Action Task Force in Paris, consequently helping Pakistan to abstain from being blacklisted by the international anti-money laundering watchdog.

India was also not happy with President Erdogan’s UN speech where he supported Pakistan’s narrative. In his speech he emphasized on resolving Kashmir issue through dialogue, not collision.

In response, India said that the Turkish president’s statement was “biased and unwarranted”. Furthermore, India called Kashmir an internal matter of Pakistan and India.
