Indian Cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan Laud PM Imran Khan For His Warm Gesture Regarding Kartarpur Corridor

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s warm gesture of waiving off two requirements for the visiting Sikh pilgrims has won the hearts of millions of people of Sikh community. Renowned Indian Cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan have also thanked the Pakistani premiere for his warm gesture.

On Friday PM Khan announced that his government has decided to waive off two requirements for the visiting Sikh pilgrims. The two conditions waived off includes, ending requirement of a passport and 10 days advance registration.

“For Sikhs coming for pilgrimage to Kartarpur from India, I have waived off 2 requirements: i) they wont need a passport – just a valid ID; ii) they no longer have to register 10 days in advance. Also, no fee will be charged on day of inauguration & on Guruji’s 550th birthday,” PM Imran Khan wrote.

Responding to his tweet, the two Indian Cricketers appreciated PM Imran Khan for his decision.

“Great gesture,” Pathan wrote.

“Thank you @ImranKhanPTI May baba Nanak bless us all.. waheguru,” Harbhajan Singh wrote.

PM Imran Khan was also appreciated by other people from across the border as well. Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti lauded PM Khan’s decision

The historic Kartarpur Corridor is likely to be opened next month with it’s construction work entering it’s final stages. Pakistan has also invited former Indian PM Manmohan Singh and Indian Cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu.
