Global experts show their concern with on-going ‘genocide’ of Indian Muslims
"Brutality against Muslims worsens their socio-economic conditions and allows genocidal targeting"
- International experts on genocidal violence have warned that India has been preparing for a “genocide” of 200 million Muslims living in the country.
- Last week, the fears were voiced during a panel discussion organized in Washington by the Indian American Muslim Council.
International experts on genocidal violence have warned of the impending danger of ‘genocide’ of India’s 200 Million Muslims under the watch of the present Indian regime.
At a panel discussion on “Ten Stages of Genocide and India’s Muslims, “experts expressed an imperative need to not only’ charge and sanction’ the Indian government but also to expose it in the international community to prevent atrocities against humanity.
The President of Genocide Watch, Dr. Gregory Stanton, said, “Preparation for genocide is underway in India.” He emphasized, “The massacre of Muslims in Assam and Kashmir is the stage just before the genocide. The next step is extermination—that is what we call genocide.”
Responding to the fact that the Delhi Police arrested hundreds of Muslims in Delhi riot cases and arrested them of violence against themselves, Dr. Stanton termed it as “denial,” the last stage in genocide.
The Indian human rights activist, Teesta Setalvad, stated that brutality against Muslims worsens their socio-economic conditions and allows genocidal targeting.
“Lack of social and economic opportunities, constant worry and uncertainty among the Indian Muslims which is generated through this disturbing tactic of hate speech, is something that could fit into the possible build-up of the genocidal situation,” said Setalvad.
A veteran Muslim political activist, Dr. Qasim Rasool Ilyas, revealed that Muslims of Uttar Pradesh are amongst the worst affected by the oppression and massacres.
He added, “The Indian Chief Minister, Mr. Yogi Aditya Nath, is behind the systematic targeting of the Muslim community through encounter-killing to unlawful detentions and unjust framing.”
Following this, many Muslims were subjected to Mob lynching on the false allegations of dealing and consuming beef. In multiple cases, the victims succumbed to the torment while the Police remained a silent spectator.
Ilyas concluded his remarks by saying, “Can a state which claims to be the largest democracy, force its 14% of the population into submission and reject their social and legal rights without inviting the wrath of the international community?”
