An Indian fact checking website, Alt News, did some digging and exposed India’s malicious campaign against Pakistan. After thoroughly looking into the account, Alt News found out that the account’s username was actually changed from @ramanheist to @criccrazyygirl.
“We also found archived links of tweets where @ramanheist is talking about trading on NIFTY which is an Indian stock market index. He also shared an email by Zerodha, which is an Indian financial services company. This suggests that the person behind the account hails from India,” reported the Indian media outlet.
Furthermore, even after changing the Twitter username the account had retweeted tweets in Telugu which also hints it is an Indian account.
“The earliest username that the person used to operate under, which Alt News was able to locate, was @pellikuturuhere, which is a Telugu word. We found a reply to @pellikututuhere that suggested the person is from Hyderabad,” reported Alt News.
Moreover, the Indian Twitter user impersonating as a Pakistani had also retweeted anti-muslims and Pro-BJP tweets in the past. The investigation by Alt news came to the conclusion that the “person’s Twitter activity does not suggest that they are from Pakistan.” It clearly stated in its article that the account is from India.
