India’s Dinesh Karthik makes big prediction about Babar Azam

Babar Azam hasn’t just become a fans’ favourite but renowned international cricketers are also fans of his scintillating batting.

Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik is one of those who rates the Pakistani skipper very highly. On the ICC Review show, the right handed batter made a bold prediction about Babar.

Dinesh Karthik believes that the Pakistan’s captain has the potential to become the first batter to be ranked number one in all three formats. He stated that the chances of Babar Azam achieving this feat are 100%.

“He is a high-quality player who is at the peak of his batting prowess and he has got some Test matches coming up.”

Karthik went on to add that the right handed batter has performed well in all three formats in different batting positions.

“I wish him all the best and think he has the potential. He has got all the following of Pakistan helping him in abundance to go on and do special things for his country,” he said.

Furthermore, the Indian cricketer also believes that the Pakistan captain will turn the Fab Four, comprising Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Joe Root and Steve Smith, into Fab Five.

“It is a very strong ‘Fab Four’ that we are talking about and they have obviously been there for much longer, but there is no doubt that Babar has all the credentials and he is going to make it a ‘Fab Five’,” Karthik added.

It is pertinent to mention that Babar Azam is now ranked as the number one batter in One Day International (ODI) cricket as well as in T20 cricketer. While, he is also ranked at the number fifth spot in the longer format of the game.
