inDriver To Launch Its Services in Five More Pakistani Cities
Popular ride-hailing application inDriver will soon be launching its service in five more cities across Pakistan. It is currently available in 11 cities including Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore.
inDriver’s Public Relations and Communication Manager for South Asian Region Sidra Kiran told Business Recorder that the company will expand its operations in five more cities.
Although, she didn’t share details about the names of the cities but Kiran did confirm the ride-hailing app’s plans to work further on its services in the cities it is already available in.
According to her, 40% of the people choose inDriver over other ride-hailing applications, making it the most downloaded app in this category.
Uber Suspends Its Operations
On the other hand, Uber recently announced to shut down its services in five major Pakistani cities, including Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar. However, it will continue to provide its services across these cities with their subsidiary brand Careem.
Earlier, Careem had suspended its food delivery service in Pakistan over “unfavourable economic conditions.” The service will be resumed once the economic condition is more favourable.
