Arshad Nadeem is a Javeline thrower belonging from Pakistan. The athlete has recently made everyone proud with his record-breaking javelin throw, for which he has also won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
He has been garnering praise on social media ever since, and the whole country is proud of him. Arshad represents WAPDA in domestic competitions and belongs to Mian Channu, Khanewal, Punjab. The athlete also managed to score big in the 2020 summer Olympics.
Nadeem made a record at the South Asian Games with a throw distance of 86.2 m. He also became the nation’s only track and field athlete and is known to be the first Pakistani to qualify for the final event at the Olympic Games.

Talking about his early life, Arshad has been a great and versatile athlete ever since his school days. In grade 7, Arshad Nadeem was taken under the wing by Rasheed Ahmad Saqi. Before going for javelin throw, he also pursued discus throw and shot put. He was able to secure medals in javelin throw across multiple events held in Punjab.
It wasn’t long before he caught the eye of an inter-board, which then pushed him to the national stage. He got multiple offers from well-known domestic athletic teams.
He has been a part of, and secured positions in, competitions like South Asian Games, Imam Reza Cup, Asian Junior Athletic Championships, World Championships, Commonwealth games, and more.
