Indian cricket fans are unhappy with Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises tweeting about the historic Pakistan-Australia series. The Australia squad for the tour of Pakistan includes a number of cricketers who are also part of the IPL.

IPL teams including Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders wished their players best of luck for their upcoming series. “See you soon,” tweeted KKR with emojis of Pakistani, Indian and Australian flags.

“Our Aussie boys are ready for a historic tour of Pakistan. Can’t wait to see them in action,” tweeted Delhi Capitals.

Here’s what Punjab Kings tweeted:

Although, it was seen as a great gesture by the Pakistani fans but fans on other side of the border weren’t happy one bit. Some of them asked the IPL franchises to delete their tweets.

The Pakistan cricket fans loved the gesture and thanked the IPL franchises.

Furthermore, some fans expressed their disappointment over the reaction from the Indian fans.

The Australian cricket team will be playing three test matches, as many one day internationals and a T20 match in Pakistan. They have already announced their squads for the historic series.
