‘Is this the first impression we want to have on tourists?’, Mawish Hayat upset with condition of washrooms at Karachi airport
It is often said, 'the first impression is the last impression' and when it comes to tourism, creating the right impression at the first encounter is often half the battle won.
Over the past few years, Pakistan has regained its status as being a favorite tourist destination. Many renowned travel magazines have listed the country as one of the top tourist destinations for 2020.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has talked about promoting tourism on every national and international forum
Prime Minister said at the Pakistan Strategy Dialogue at Davos that Pakistan was considered one of the most dangerous places in the world when his government took charge but his government has helped boost tourism in Pakistan.
Well, nothing to deny about, we have seen many different vloggers come to Pakistan in the last one year. They have marketed Pakistan Culture and tourism in the country in general.
Talking on every forum about tourism is not enough. Yesterday, a famous Pakistani actress, Mehwish Hayat tweeted about the bad condition of Karachi’s washroom.
Hayat stated, “Disgusting! Had the misfortune to use the ladies’ washroom at Karachi Airport – dirty and stinking. Even saw cockroaches. Not only is it unhygienic but also is this the first impression we want to give to people arriving here? These are the most basic amenities – let’s clean up our act.”

The popularity of a destination does not depend solely on the attractions it offers. A multitude of factors starting from basic elements like clean washroom of airports is also important.
It is often said, ‘the first impression is the last impression’ and when it comes to tourism, creating the right impression at the first encounter is often half the battle won.

Mehwish is right toilets must be clean and there should be systems in places
This condition is not only in Airports but also same in public toilets, the worst amongst all we even make thw toilets of Masajid dirty,
