VIDEO| In a first, Islamabad Police organizes online ‘E-Katcheri’ to help people

To address the complaints of people and help them during the COVID-19 pandemic, Islamabad Police has come up with an innovative and unique solution. They have launched an e-Katcheri.
The ‘e-Katcheri’ was held on the video and audio conferencing application Zoom. The platform allowed the police to interact with people, hear their complaints, and assure them that they would be addressed on a priority basis.
IG Islamabad Muhammad Amir Zulfiqar and Superintendent Zubair Ahmed Sheikh called the first session of e-Katcheri a success ‘as many traders and citizens took part’.
The Islamabad police wanted to come up with a solution to address issues and complaints of the citizens while maintaining social distancing. E-Katcheri has received a lot of praise and appreciation.
Impressed by their commitment, a citizen announced that he would give five Umrah tickets to the policemen who would help him trace criminals involved in a dacoit.
The DIG operations said that problems related to fruit and vegetable sellers would be solved at the earliest.
In line with the vision of Prime Minister & as per the directions of IGP Islamabad, today DIG Operations conducted first ever online "Khuli Katcheri" in SP Industrial Area office,listened the complaints and resolved them on spot.
