Importance of the Self-Defense Course
Recently, Lahore police reported shocking harassment figures in the city. According to details, the registration of sexual harassment and assault cases has increased up to 300 percent in Lahore. However, the rising number of sexual harassment incidents in Pakistan proves that this isn’t a citywide problem but countrywide.
The police want to do more than help victims fight for justice; they want no victims at all. The self-defense course provides all women an opportunity to develop the ability to defend themselves, initiating a culture of resilience among the female community of Pakistan. The first cycle of the course will begin soon, and authorities are hoping it helps turn Pakistani women’s fate around for the better.
