Israel has bulldozed part of a Muslim graveyard near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in some horrific developments, exposing human bones.

Israel plans to build a biblical-themed park over the Muslim cemetery.

According to details, the Israeli-administered Jerusalem Municipality has destroyed several graves of the Al-Yusufiyah Cemetery, one of the oldest Muslim graves in occupied Jerusalem, exposing human bones.

The graves destroyed by Israel belong to Muslims, mostly Palestinians and Jordanians, who were martyred fighting Israel during the 1947-1949 Palestinian War (Nakba النكبة‎) and 1967 Arab-Israeli War (Naksa النكسة)

The Israeli municipality was bent on inflicting more damage to the graves.

However, the Palestinians gathered at the site after reports of exposed human bones emerged, and the Israeli bulldozing vehicles had to leave.

It is pertinent to note that the graves have been destroyed as Israel plans to bulldoze the Al-Yusufiyah Cemetery to build a “Bible Trail,” a string of national parks in the south of the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Bible Trail would also lead to the forceful expulsion of Palestinians from their homes in the neighborhoods of Silwan, Al-Bustan, Wadi al-Hilweh, and Batn al-Hawa.

Ahmed al-Dajani, the executive director of the Commission for the Protection of Muslim Graves, informed Anadolu Agency that an Israeli court had granted permission to work on a site close to the graveyard.

He added that Israel would face legal action over the municipality’s act.
