In the Gojra Road area of Jhang City, a customer murdered a butcher after a heated argument between the two. According to reports, the two were arguing over the butcher selling meat at a more expensive rate.
The argument eventually got heated up, and the customer stabbed the butcher to death in a fit of anger. He then ran away from the scene, while police shifted the dead body to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
After this incident, butchers of the area also staged a protest in support of their fellow and against the gruesome act. They are demanding the police catch the culprit and bring him to justice. They closed their shops as a part of the protest and chanted slogans against the police.
