The body of slain journalist Aziz Mamon was found floating in a canal a few days ago but an FIR of the alleged murder  was not registered until Tuesday evening.

Aziz Memon was associated with the Sindhi-language television channel TN News.

After the journalist’s death, police have arrested Owais Qureshi, the cameraman who accompanied Aziz Memon for the last time.

Due to negligence in such a sensitive case, the police authorities removed the SHO Azim Rajpar of Mohrabpur police station in Nowshero district and appointed Akram Janwari instead.

Akram Janwari told the Independent Urdu, “The spot identified by the search dogs is in another district, Khairpur, so it does not fall within the boundaries of our police station or district. However, we are ready, but the family of the victim is not willing to register an FIR.”

In this regard, Hafiz Memon, the brother of Aziz Memon, told the source “The police should have filed an FIR on the first day itself, but they did not, and we are being told to come and file a case.”

Akram Janwari further stated, “We initially checked both phones of Memon and his call history of that day when he was murdered has been deleted.”

  • This is what happens to a journalist who speaks the truth in democracies in India and Pakistan.

Our political parties are no less than a mafia.

  • People think they have appointed the good officer,no they have appointed their trusted one who will never let the investigation go in the right direction
