Journalist Wusat Ullah Khan calls out PPP’s hypocritical silence over Nazim Jokhio murder case [VIDEO]
A few days ago, Police excluded from the list of accused the names of two sitting lawmakers of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
Senior Journalist Wusat Ullah Khan said in a video message that the Pakistan Peoples Party PPP’s stance on the Nazim Jokhio murder case is incomprehensible.
He said, “A political party like the PPP, whose manifesto since the beginning has been advocating human rights, democracy, and justice, however its take on the Nazim Jokhio case is unfathomable.”
The Journalist further went on to say that he hoped that the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as he called himself the representative of the new generation, must provide justice to the victim’s family.
A few days ago, Police excluded from the list of accused the names of two sitting lawmakers of the Pakistan Peoples Party, MPA Jam Awais Bijar and his brother MNA Jam Abdul Karim Bijar, in the murder case of Nazim Jokhio.
The unexplained removal of the names came to light last week when the investigation officer, Siraj Lashari, submitted the challan before the anti-terrorism court judge, revealing that now the case only nominated Haider, Mairaj, and Niaz as those accused.
Nazim Jokhio’s tormented body was found at the Jam House, said to be owned by MPA Jam Awais, in Jam Goth on the 3rd of November, 2021. Jokhio’s brother lodged a case against the PPP MPA Jam Awais, his younger brother MNA Jam Abdul Karim for being involved in the murder of his 27-year-old brother. According to the Police, Nazim was tortured to death for reportedly trying to stop the lawmaker’s guests from hunting the houbara bustard in the Thatta district.
