Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar recently appeared in an interview with Urdu Point.

Pakistan’s most notorious writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has often made headlines for his problematic statements and opinions. It seems as if the famous writer is soon to be the talk of the town again as his recent interview has started to make the rounds on social media.

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar recently appeared in an interview with Urdu Point. The media outlet asked him for a comment on the horrific harassment incident at Minar-e-Pakistan. What the writer said shocked an entire nation!

Here’s what Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has to say about the Ayesha Akram harassment incident:

The famous writer started his comments by stating that what the mob did is condemnable, and they shall be punished for the heinous act. However, the authorities should look into how Ayesha Akram invited her TikTok followers at the monument herself and passed them flying kisses and hugs at the exact location frequently.

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar said:

I believe what Ayesha Akram did was also a form of harassment. Harassment is needed to be judged by both sides. And the way she was conducting herself at the monument, my society doesn’t allow it.

The Pakistani writer concluded his statement on the matter by saying:

TikTokers cannot be considered stars.

Recently, “coming soon” posters of the drama were shared by the director on social media, which has brought Pakistanis on the edge of their seats in anticipation.

    • use of abusive language is uncivilized and condemnable. As far as this incident goes, Masla saaf saaf ha, aik qanoon bana tha jab bohot pehle hamre ancestors jungle me janwaroon aur aik dusre ka shekaar karte the, ke fear of a man keeps the family in check and fear of the state keeps a man in check. In case of Pakistan, you do the maths.
*for faint hearts: fear here is usually not the fear of physical violence rather the fear of losing resources/protection.
