In a tweet, the KPK Finance & Health Minister, Taimur Jhagra, announced that by January 31st, every domicile holder in the province would be covered under the scheme. He also said the Prime Minister Imran Khan would launch the program in Swat on November the 6th.

“By January 31st, God willing, every KP domicile holder will be covered, wherever they live in Pakistan,” the minister wrote on Twitter.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had launched the scheme on August the 20th, under which each family is entitled to receive health coverage of Rs. 1 million.

Under the first phase, the project will be launched in KPK’s Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Swat, Malakand, Upper Chitral, and Lower Chitral districts.

According to The News report, under the second phase, the program would be extended to Mansehra, Abbottabad, Battagram, Torghar, and Kohistan districts.

Moreover, in the third phase, the program would be extended to Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Buner, Nowshera, Charsadda, and Peshawar.

Lastly, under the fourth phase of the plan, the program would be extended to Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Tank by January 1st, 2021.

It is relevant to mention that the CNIC will serve as the Sehat Card, and nothing more will be required by KPK citizens to claim the health benefits under this program.
