Khyber Pakhtunkhwa tourism police to get training in Thailand

Atif Khan, Senior Minister for Tourism and Culture, has announced that special police is being trained in the province KPK in the new government’s efforts to revive foreign touristry. Their job will be to promote tourism and make the experience as secure and positive for international visitors as possible. Making the announcement during a meeting with a delegation of Tourism Police of Thailand this Thursday, he announced that the specialised police will also get training in Thailand. 

K-P Tourism Department  Secretary Rashid Mehmood, Additional Secretary Babar Khan, Additional Inspector General of Police, Managing Director Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, and World Bank officials attended the said meeting.

The meeting was also updated about the role of tourism police in Thailand, which was tasked to protect and facilitate the tourists in the country. Seeing the merits and how the tasked force contributed to broadening the sphere of tourism in Thailand and attract foreign visitors, Atif Khan said that KP’s tourism police will also be sent there for training.
He also added that the KPK government had started work on rehabilitation of the tourist’s spots and identifying new places for the promotion of the industry in the country. Atif said that more than 20 destinations will be developed and the existing sports will also be revamped by being equipped with modern facilities. After the meeting, the delegation also visited  Heritage Trail, Gor Khattri and Sethi House.
