KP announces new jobs under Sehat Card Program to upgrade hospital assessment
The initiative first started, by offering free medical and health facilities to about three percent of people in four regions, in 2015.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) health department officials have revealed that the deparment is planning on hiring people for the Sehat Card Plus (SCP) program. This is being done to improve upgrade hospital assessment and evaluation while simulatenously targeting patient concerns.
The initiative first started, by offering free medical and health facilities to about three percent of people in four regions, in 2015. The target was to expand throughout the region by the year 2020.
Despite the manpower restrictions and the health department’s problems regarding it, the program added new hospitals to the pannel with the increasing number of people availing the facility of free health care in not just KP but throughout the country.
SCP’s Director of Empanelment, Dr. Amir Rafiq Khattak, stated that the policy board, which constitutes some of the top professionals, has permitted an outline in which more than 75 new personnel, including physicians, would be hired on contract basis.
He also revealed that the new employees were needed due to the increased workload as the program served more than 9 million people of KP and newly-merged districts.
The hospital’s pannel has more than a 1,000 hospitals, which include more than 190 in KP. Those with local CNICs are able to get free treatments in these hospitals.
He also told that there are only 20 members currently that are burdenised with work which is why more manpower is needed.
