KP Government To Launch First-Ever Green Housing Scheme Soon

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) has decided to launch the province’s first ever green housing scheme in Bannu. The aim of the project is to provide the residents with low price and affordable housing.

Chief Minister K-P Mahmood Khan chaired a meeting in this regard on Monday. The meeting was attended by Minister for Housing Amjad Ali Khan, Minister for Local Government Faisal Amin Ghandapur, Principal Secretary to CM Amjad Ali Khan, Secretary Local Government Zaheerul Islam, Secretary Law Masood Ahmad, Secretary Planning and Development Shah Mahmood and other senior officials.

During the meeting, the participants were informed about the location of the proposed housing scheme. It will be established on the southern part of Bannu and linked through Bannu-Lakki Road.

The PC-1 of the project worth Rs62 million had already been approved by the Provincial Working Development Party. KPK’s first ever green and sustainable housing scheme will have all the facilities of modern life.

The Housing Department has been given the control of the project to start work on it as soon as possible and to complete the project without any delays. CM KP said that the province’s first ever green housing scheme in Bannu will meet the residential accommodation requirements of the people of the southern part of the province.

Mahmood Khan will most likely perform the ground breaking of the project in his next visit to Bannu. The officials were directed to make all the necessary arrangements for the purpose.
