KPK Govt Announces Hundreds Of Scholarships
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa government has announced hundreds of scholarships for talented youngsters of the province.
The Kohat Division Development Project (KDDP) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Higher Education Department (HED) and Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA). K-P Chief Secretary Dr Shehzad Khan Bangash attended the MOU signing ceremony.
Youngsters of three districts of Kohat, Hangu and Karak of Kohat division will be provided various diploma and certificate courses. As many as 1,230 individuals will benefit from these scholarships.
Project Director (PD) KDDP Asmatullah Wazir said that a total of Rs349 million will be spent on the provision of these scholarships. The scholarships will cover tuition fee, books/library, boarding, residential and stipend.
The education regulatory authority will be responsible to facilitate KDDP scholars in courses related to health, technical, mobile and digital expertise.
Meanwhile, HED has the responsibility to teach students undergraduate degree programs related to petroleum and gas engineering, energy and power engineering, health and nursing.
