After Saudi Arabia, Netanyahu says he will visit Bahrain soon
The shift has angered the Palestinians, who have demanded statehood before any such regional rapprochement with Israel.

- Earlier on Sunday, Netanyahu visited Saudi Arabia and met the crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman.
The Israeli Prime Minister , Benjamin Bibi Netanyahu, says he will visit Bahrain “soon” at the invitation of the Gulf state’s Crown Prince Salman al-Khalifa.

Bahrain tailed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in establishing ties with Israel in a deal brokered by the United States that marked a tactical Middle East alignment against Iran.
The shift has angered the Palestinians, who have demanded statehood before any such regional rapprochement with Israel.

In a statement released on social media, Netanyahu said he spoke with Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa about “the fact that we can bring the fruits of peace to our peoples and our nations in a short time.”

The prime minister said the Bahraini Crown Prince “invited me to come shortly for a formal visit to Bahrain, and I will implement this on your behalf,” making reference to Israeli citizens.
PM Netanyahu: “Both of us are very moved by the fact that we can bring peace to our peoples and our countries in a very short time. Therefore, he also invited me to make an official visit to Bahrain soon. I will do so, on your behalf, with pleasure.”

Netanyahu’s announcement comes after a Bahraini delegation, led by Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, traveled to Israel last week.

During the visit, Israel and Bahrain said they hope to open embassies in one another’s countries by the end of the year.
On Monday, Israeli media revealed that Netanyahu visited NEOM in Saudi Arabia and met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS).
