Despite the great rivalry between Pakistan and India, cricketers from both the sides enjoy a friendly relationship.

This was once again proved true by Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam when they shared the stage at a press conference ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

During the media interaction, the two talked about the relationship of the players of the two teams. Babar Azam was asked by a journalist what they talk about whenever they meet.

Babar Azam replied: “Rohit Sharma is older than me. I try to take as much experience as possible from him as he has been playing for a long time.”

Rohit Sharma also answered the same question and said that they don’t always talk about cricket. He stated that they know the importance of the game but don’t talk about it all the time to avoid creating pressure within themselves.

“Whenever we meet the Pakistan players, we met them in the Asia Cup and now… we talk about how are things back home, how the families are.”

The Indian skipper added that the same thing was told by the generations before them. “We just talk about what is going on, how is life and what new car they have bought or they are about to buy,” he concluded.

Pakistan and India will play against each other in the much anticipated match of the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia on October 23rd. The Men in Green will be feeling much more confident after their recent victory against the arch rivals in the Asia Cup.
