Manpower export to Saudi Arabia witnessed a 191% increase in 2019
About 563,018 Pakistanis moved to different countries to avail job opportunities overseas.
Pakistan’s manpower export to Saudi Arabia has increased by 191% in 2019 according to the APP. The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) has facilitated 294,156 Pakistanis in moving to the kingdom and to explore employment opportunities. For 2018, the figures stood at 100,910.
According to the data shared by the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), Manpower Export to Saudi Arabia showed a growth of 191 percent in 2019. In the past year, the overseas employment of Pakistanis saw an increase of 47 percent.
About 563,018 Pakistanis moved to different countries to avail job opportunities overseas. Compared to last year, the figures for 2018 stood at 382,439.
Japan To Import Workforce From Pakistan In 14 Different Sectors:
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari stated, “The MoU will enable Pakistanis to work in 14 sectors of Japan, including construction, information technology, nursing, manufacturing, engineering, and others.”
According to him, the ministry has already begun dispatching skilled workforce to a few countries, including Romania and the United Kingdom.
While replying to a Pakistani emigrant he said, “we are exploring new markets for the export of manpower other than the Middle East.”
He further stated that the Ministry and Germany were in talks for the export of Pakistani manpower.
