MAO college teacher found guilty in female student harassment case, caught sending inappropriate messages

A preliminary report quoted by a local news channel has revealed that a professor of a public college in Lahore has been found guilty of sexually harassing a female student.

The report stated that the male professor in MAO College indeed compelled the female student to meet him to increase grades in exams.

According to details, the professor sent inappropriate text messages to his female student and pressured her to meet him outside of the college, using the temptation to give her extra marks.

In its report, the college principal-led committee said that the lecturer should be barred from being transferred to any female college as he poses a threat of harassment.

A few days ago, a female student of Government MAO College in Lahore complained about receiving inappropriate messages from a lecturer that led to the launching of a probe against the teacher.

The student complained about receiving messages from an instructor of the college’s psychology department through SMS.

Following this, the college principal formed a four-member inquiry committee and said it was unethical to harass a female student.
