Marcus Stoinis Could Face Disciplinary Action For Accusing Muhmmad Hasnain of Chucking [Video]

Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis came under fire on social media after he seemed to be accusing Pakistan pacer Muhammad Hasnain of chucking.

The two faced each other in a game of The Hundred Men’s competition. Marcus Stoinis’ team Southern Brave lost by seven wickets against Muhammad Hasnain’s Oval Invincibles.

The Aussie all-rounder was the top scorer as he finished with 37 off 27 balls. Stoinis was dismissed by the Pakistani pacer, top-edging a pull to mid-off. As he was walking back to the pavilion, the all-rounder mimicked Hasnain’s bowling action but in an illegal manner and he can face disciplinary action for it.

After the vide went viral, cricket fans bashed the Australian cricketer, calling his action ‘downright disgusting.’

The Age’s Daniel Brettig tweeted: “This is poor. There‘s a system in place to regulate bowling actions and it doesn’t include publicly questioning your opponent’s integrity.”

Here’s what others said:

Earlier this year, Hasnain was banned from bowling in international cricket after his action was reported during the Big Bash League. He was cleared to bowl after going remedial work.
