Marcus Stoinis Could Face Disciplinary Action For Accusing Muhmmad Hasnain of Chucking [Video]
Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis came under fire on social media after he seemed to be accusing Pakistan pacer Muhammad Hasnain of chucking.
The two faced each other in a game of The Hundred Men’s competition. Marcus Stoinis’ team Southern Brave lost by seven wickets against Muhammad Hasnain’s Oval Invincibles.
The Aussie all-rounder was the top scorer as he finished with 37 off 27 balls. Stoinis was dismissed by the Pakistani pacer, top-edging a pull to mid-off. As he was walking back to the pavilion, the all-rounder mimicked Hasnain’s bowling action but in an illegal manner and he can face disciplinary action for it.

After the vide went viral, cricket fans bashed the Australian cricketer, calling his action ‘downright disgusting.’
Downright disgusting from Stoinis- I hope the match referee takes some form of disciplinary action. Hasnain has been cleared and verified by an AUSTRALIAN independent expert. https://t.co/401A7HW3XY

The Age’s Daniel Brettig tweeted: “This is poor. There‘s a system in place to regulate bowling actions and it doesn’t include publicly questioning your opponent’s integrity.”
Here’s what others said:
This is shocking !!!
Hasnain has been cleared & it has nothing to do with Stoinis @thehundred #TheHundred https://t.co/vMTw0KC9MG

Disgusting from Stoinis! ICC and PCB should take disciplinary action, he should stick to play cricket and let the match refree do their Job. Hasnain has cleared his action. So If u can't play them then improve your game otherwise stay at Home. #TheHundred

Who does Marcus Stoinis think he is? He got dismissed by Mohammad Hasnain tonight in #TheHundred and he went off signalling as if Hasnain was chucking! Disrespectful, really! If you can't play him, you know where the dressing room is. You're not Ricky Ponting, pipe down!

That average Aussie allrounders like Stoinis could do and get away with shit like this speaks volumes about the power imbalance in the game. Had Rabada or for that matter any other dark-skinned player done such a thing, they would have been handed a ban by the ECB. Ridiculous. https://t.co/HwjrDmk62d

Disappointing reaction from Marcus Stoinis after he was dismissed by Mohammad Hasnain. How about sticking to playing cricket and letting the officials do their job #TheHundred #Cricket pic.twitter.com/oYOSb12GTr

This is a clearly both Level 2 dissent against the umpires and making a gesture of an insulting nature to another player.
It will be interesting to see if the ECB punishes Stoinis, or allows this kind of behaviour to proliferate in their 'family-friendly' competition. https://t.co/7ZuMuFYRmF

Earlier this year, Hasnain was banned from bowling in international cricket after his action was reported during the Big Bash League. He was cleared to bowl after going remedial work.
