Mardan DHQ doctor, who raised voice against a lack of PPE, tests positive for COVID-19

The infected doctor is currently in isolation.

Mardan- The KP Young Doctors Association has revealed that a doctor at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ), who raised his voice against a lack of sufficient safety kits for the healthcare workers at the facility, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The infected doctor is currently in isolation.

A medical superintendent of the hospital had sought an explanation from Dr. Ziaur Rehman, who is a medical officer at the city’s DHQ casualty department.

Speaking to a local TV channel the medical superintendent demanded personal protective equipment (PPEs) for young doctors.

The KP association requested the government to provide safety kits for doctors “on a war footing”.
