Maya Ali gets teary-eyed narrating her experience with ration distribution during COVID-19 crisis in a live video
Actress Maya Ali and designer Faiza Saqlain are arranging ration drives for the underprivileged people during COVID-19 crisis.
The COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected all sections of society. However, the most vulnerable segment is the working class, who are working as daily laborers. After the government announced a lockdown in different areas of the country, they have lost their employment and are struggling to make ends meet.
Actress Maya Ali and designer Faiza Saqlain are not only helping the needy but are also encouraging their followers to do so. Narrating her experience with the ration distribution, Maya broke down in tears.
“Yesterday, I received a call from a woman from Karachi and she requested me to deliver some ration. Due to the lockdown, she is helpless. She and her son had not eaten anything for two days,” Maya Ali said.
She further said, “After her phone call, I couldn’t talk for half an hour. We have everything and there are people who have nothing. These people might not die from Coronavirus but they will die from hunger.”
