Mayor Karachi demands open court hearing against K-Electric officials for “Mass Murder”

40 people died due to electrocution in the city during monsoon rains.
On Saturday the Mayer of Karachi city Wasim Akhtar said that officials of K-Electric are accountable for “Mass Murder” of many innocent people. He said there should be an open court hearing against k electric officials to provide justice to the victims of electrocution during the recent monsoon rains.
He acknowledged the verdict of Nepra inquiry into the recent incident of electrocution in the Karachi city while addressing to the press conference.
Killing of people due to unguarded electric wires in the season of monsoon is not the personal case of the affected families, but it is the case of the entire city said the Mayer.
The mayor said that the city must be run distinctly by rectifying the structure, those in charge of such carelessness must be penalized, and the unfortunate casualties get the equity.
He said the city’s civic and civil foundation had been wrecked, adding to the tragedies of the citizens.
The mayor said that 40 people died due to electrocution in the city during monsoon rains.
In the recent incident throughout the monsoon season, forty causalities observed because of electrocution said the Mayor.
“People would continue to die like this if the responsible officials are not brought to book”, he added.
“There has been enough blame game” now it is time to initiate a joint struggle to provide some comfort and peace to the citizens of Karachi he added.
The city of Karachi inadequately needs finances and resources for expansion and growth of its foundation said, Mayer.
Mayor also pleaded to the president, the prime minister and the chief justice of Pakistan to pay attention to the difficulties faced by the citizens of Karachi.
